Me and my little brother found a plunge pool behind a damn and we have caught catfish bass crappie and bluegill in there but none of the fish are very big. Any tips to catch bigger fish?

What’s your target? Natural baits work best (minnows and worms for pan fish… gizzard shad or skip jack for catfish) in my opinion. Try to cast where the water is calm but still moving, if you can, find cover such as underwater brush. That’s where the bigger catfish will be.

I would try a bigger minnow or bait.

well if they’re are bigger fish in there, use bigger baits. lots of small fish will eat worms, so that’s not a great bet for large fish. minnows are good, but sometimes still too small, use small suckers and even small bluegills for bait, as well as other small fish like goldfish and shad. If your catching small fish in an area, try another area or depth, usually small fish and large fish don’t coexist well. For lures, just use large fish replicating lures, or lures replicating other large baits like lizards, frogs and crayfish.
