We have a nice size pond (man made about 20 years ago) the fishing is great in it and has been for years.(bass,crappie, catfish, brim)
This year it is extremely hard to fish in it for all the algea in it. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem without killing my fish?
I am looking to buy a new rod… My search criteria is graphite, ceramic rings, 40-60 modules, med action at least, reel seat cut out would be nice, single foot guide would be nice also. I have been stalking the Ugly stick, but was unsure… don’t really know the best kind to get in either brand. I am in Southwestern AR, and I am bass, crappie and catfishing… from the Dam, lakes and rivers… Bank fishing mostly… some boat… Could someone give me some great suggestions of what theyre brand preference rod would be along these lines. My price range is about $75-$30… pretty sufficient I guess… Thanks for your input.. Yahoo…. ME

I’ve been going to my usual fishing spot for a few weeks now, and have caught largemouth bass, crappie, sunfish, bullheads, rock bass, etc. It’s really fun! But the past two days I’ve gone there, the fishing has been much slower, could it be the time of day? Or the fish aren’t hungry? My staple lure I use is a jig head with a Berkley Gulp! 2.5″ Minnow. I’m going early tomorrow morning and i’m hoping to have a more rapid catch. Any suggestions? Theories? Etc……………All answers appreciated!
