I have a pond which is for sure 10 feet deep, I think its 12 ft deep to be exact. The pond is approximately 120 ft long by 50 ft wide, so its pretty big. The pond has lots of sunfish in it, and there are some big ones. 3 years ago I threw a largemouth bass in the pond (0.5 lbs), the next season I was casting a spinner bait trying to catch the bass and I caught it again. It was about 3 lbs this time. Other then that all there was in the pond was that one bass and sunfish. This year the third year i tried casting for it again and no luck. Ill try some more though. But anyways, my whole concern is, do you think their is enough ecosystem in the pond for the perch to survive? I put them in already.
Also in the pond, there are weedbeds, and there is also a lot of this green slimey stuff around the edges of the pound, and i mean LOTS of it. What is this stuff? is it good? if not what species can I introduce to get rid of it?
and YES just one largemouth.
