For fishing in ponds, lakes rivers, streams etc. excluding ocean fishing. For fish like carp, catfish, trout, bass, sun fish, bluegill, pumpkin seed, etc. what baits have you found to be very good or not good and if possible for which fish ? P.S. I live and fish in CT.
what size of pond/lake do shad and other bait fish stop breeding in? When no shad or little minnows are present what do the predator fish eat? and what size of resavors do predator fish (bass catfish crappie ect.) stop breeding?
We will be fishing in Missouri for bass, catfish, bluegills. Any ideas on a good Spincast reel for the price?

We have a nice size pond (man made about 20 years ago) the fishing is great in it and has been for years.(bass,crappie, catfish, brim)
This year it is extremely hard to fish in it for all the algea in it. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem without killing my fish?
that way he dont hit it then spit it out because the fins are so prickly??????
I have these two ponds next to my house we have fished for years there little private ponds the first one all the fish jumped to the river and left because the owner uses the lake water for his trees the second is a deep nice pond that’s not that big it has a couple nice 5 lb plus bass tons and tons of sunfish possibly minnows pickeral apparently crappie and shiners it probably has other species but no catfish would I be able to put native channel or bullhead catfish in it I’ve asked this before and havnt got answers also I don’t know if I added there’s a decent amount of bass thanks also last thing any ideas were to buy them
ok, so i was fishing with my friend in a very small little pond in new jersey. i’m pretty sure it was man made. there are sunfish, some bass, turtles, etc… all of a sudden i saw this HUGE black fish come out of nowhere. it turns out that my friend has seen them but doesn’t know what they are. it was all black and appeared to have vertical stripes on the side of it that are slighter lighter in color. This fish was long but not thin at all. they had a lot of “girth” to them. they almost looked like catfish but i didn’t see any whiskers and they lacked that flatness that catfish have to them. another weird thing is that they traveled in schools of 3 or 4. (only so many could fit in this pond they were huge) if anyone could help identify this fish or give me a general idea as to what they were i would greatly appreciate it! thanks in advance
