one of my friends caught it…..i was wondering what type it is, how far i need to cast out, and what kind of bait i need to use to catch another one [the place my friend caught it at was a small farm pond]…..the pond is loaded with bluegill, smallmouth, largemouth, and rock bass…..im trying to land a nice catty but all im getting is bass and bluegill…..family and friends have all asid that they have caught massive catfish many years ago in that same pond…..i dont know what to do, please help!!! thanks in advance.

Advice on fishing bait?

I need advice on what kind of bait to use to fish with. I fish at a lake at my park in town. Its a decent sized lake. I fish off of a little dock there. I know for a fact there is sunfish, cat fish, trout, and bass in the lake. I’ve used night crawlers and trout worms. But I haven’t had much luck with it. I was thinking about using meal worms. Some guy told me they worked good. But I don’t know. I’m not really experienced in fishing. And I’m a GIRLY GIRLY. But I love to fish. Lol. Please help. =)

What kind of eggs are these?

I have a tank with a few minnows, crawfish, red eared sunfish (perch), and one Red Tiger Oscar.
I’m betting its the minnows.

Oh and i had sort breed of frog in there for a while before he escaped. He was rather small (about the size of a quarter).

What kind of fish are usually stocked in small private ponds?

The golf courses at my country club close on Mondays, so I was going to sneak out there and fish in some of the lakes they have on the courses.

I KNOW they have those small fish (I think carp or bluegill, not sure), but I’m not sure what bigger fish they have.

I think that, if there are big fish, they could actually be big.

Here are my main questions:

What kind of fish do you think would be stocked in there?

How likely is it for me to catch ANY fish?

What kind of lures should I use?

Please add any advice or information!
I’ve already gotten permission from my Country Club.
Southeast. Atlanta to be specific.

My club is Cherokee Town & Country Club.

I have been cleaning some bluegill fish which I caught today. Inside one of them was a large yellow mass.?

Are these immature eggs, a section of fat, a tumor, an abnormality of some other kind? Is this normal? In case you couldn’t guess I do not fish that often and usually fish later in the year, so I don’t know if that is why I have never seen anything like this before.

Ultimately is the meat of this fish fit to eat?
