going to start a native fish aquarium?

I was going to buy a 55g-80g african cichlid tank but i think i changed my mind. I was thinking of collecting some native species found in our home lakes and hopefully breed them too. Now, i already did the research and i clearly know that in some states/ provinces ( i live in southern ontario, canada) you need a permit. What fish do you think i should stock? I was thinking about stocking it with a small school of yellow perch and a small school of sunfish and a ton of shiners mixed in between as a food source and to give the tank a more natural look. I can easily collect these fish as i go fishing alot so i dont need a seine net for the bigger fish but a trap will be needed for the minnows.Any suggestions on other fish to stock? Any tips you can give? What do you think about my setup?

Thinking back on all those fish you’ve caught over the years, which specie do you most miss fishing for?

Here in Alaska, we do not have any of the so-called warm-water species like catfish, or the different kinds of bass, panfish, etc. Not living near enough to the ocean for easy saltwater access, I must limit myself to a few kinds of trout, grayling, burbot, and northern pike through the ice in the winter while I wait for running water and running salmon. I am very content with my options. BUT….once in a while I get to thinking back on what it was like to fish for Minnesota walleye and muskellunge, Iowa yellow perch and catfish, and Georgia largemouth and striped bass, and I get a bit nostalgic for the “good ol’ days”. The memories are fond and well preserved. What are yours?

A Ferret + a Parrot?

I’m thinking of getting a ferret and we have a large Brazilian parrot (and a cat) that we let out only when we’re home, and when she is out she stays on her perch. I know that odds are they won’t get along, but will they kill each other? The cat and our dog (he’s not with us anymore) both learned quickly why they should avoid her. She has one hell of a beak. The cat I’m not so worried about because she never comes in my room. The bird and the cat, far from getting along, at least haven’t tried to kill each other.

What’s the difference between a laser and a sunfish?

they look the same, same hull type, almost identical dimensions. So besides the rig, whats the difference? I’m thinking of getting one of these so this could really help me decide. thx!

I’m thinking of buying a sailboat…?

I’m thinking of buying a sailboat for use on the hudson river around where the Tapan Zee bridge is (in other words, very tidal water with allot of current). I’m probably not going to ever want to bring out more than two or three people, usually just me (1). I don’t plan to do much racing, but i do love going fast. I’m relatively new to sailing but I’m very competent. I was thinking a laser or a sunfish, i want better advice so anyone who knows what they’re doing, please answer!

Yugioh Fish OTK Deck help?

Hi there, I am thinking of making a fish OTK deck and was wondering which is a better card for dumping the superancient deep sea king?
Genex undine.
It sends a WATER to the grave and adds a genex controller to my hand when it is normal summoned
or
Nimble sunfish
when destroyed by battle, dumb a fish into the graveyard and speical summon another nimble sunfish.
Also, if you would have any other general advice for making this kind of deck, please let me know!
