I live on a small/medium lake that has houses around about 70% of it. Is it safe to eat the bluegill from a lake like this or is there too much danger of contamination? I have seen lots of other people take fish from this lake. Also, there have never been any reports of the water being polluted.
I was out fishing today and the water was 67 degrees F. I think they are done. Anyway, I use to know this, but can’t remember.
What is a purch fish
this weekend will be my first time out on my lake this year. I live in Michigan, the water temp is about 40-45 maybe up to 50 by the weekend. the air temp will be in the 60s and 70s. The water is staind. It is an 85-acre lake. What should I use? I will be going for bass and pike. Maybe even crappie

I have these two ponds next to my house we have fished for years there little private ponds the first one all the fish jumped to the river and left because the owner uses the lake water for his trees the second is a deep nice pond that’s not that big it has a couple nice 5 lb plus bass tons and tons of sunfish possibly minnows pickeral apparently crappie and shiners it probably has other species but no catfish would I be able to put native channel or bullhead catfish in it I’ve asked this before and havnt got answers also I don’t know if I added there’s a decent amount of bass thanks also last thing any ideas were to buy them
Its different from fishing in the summer, because the water level is low here in the freshwater channels. Any tips would be appreciated though. More importantly, do catfish prefer deeper water or the shallows when its cold at night? They are supposed to come in a feed when it gets dark but with the cold, will it make a difference?
